![]() ![]() ![]() I have been wrestling with this ever since I heard of the Sky Replacement tool. The last thing I would like to add is that AI technology is making processing incredibly simple, but now it is easy to lie with our images. Well I could go on forever raving about this new filter instead, I have been recording my process of using this filter and have added two new YouTube Videos to my site: This is what puts this filter over the top IMO and allows you to match the light on the landscape to the light in the sky – essential if you wish to make the scene look realistic. The software via simple sliders also allows for global corrections, gap filling and the coolest thing of all (I discuss in the second video on Advanced Techniques) Scene Relighting. It also allows for LUT’s (Lookup Table) that works as a type of alternate processing of the image – it offers some very creative looks – check it out. I’ve been shooting at sunset every night off my back deck. I have been running around all week capturing sky’s with both my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my Sony a7RIV + Sony 200-600mm (perfect for isolating skies). Not only does it do amazingly complicated sky replacement, but is also allows you to load either pre-loaded skies or add your own. Personally I am loving the software, it is more than I expected. ![]() Cottonwood and Sun Star, Zion National Park, Utah. ![]()
